I've been doing quite a lot of small quilts lately.
The first is a class sample for my foto to fabric workshop - a portrait of mum from a photo taken around 1945. I quilted it on my Sweet 16!
The second is homework following a beading workshop at my contemporary quilt group. I used a multicolored fabric, cut the borders from this same piece and sewed them back on in a different position - very effective. I used a flower applique pattern from QC magazine and thought it would make a good project for beading.
The third is a mind map for the CQG map challenge for next year's QuiltWest exhibition. Just shows what's going on in my head!
