My contemporary quilt group has an annual challenge that we put on display at our state show, QuiltWest. This year the theme is 'maps' and as a quick addition to the display I've made an Aussie quilt. I used a design I found on a postcard at the state museum and the idea is that each shape within the map is another country made to scale, to show just how big Australia is!

ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea! I can recognise a few: Japan, Italy and the UK are the easiest to spot. I did not know about the map challenge. I should enter my cushion!
