As I'm doing a new workshop in Albany (and possibly Esperance) in a few month's time, I wanted to get a sample made of my technique.
This is based on a photo taken on holiday in New Zealand. I've always loved the craziness of standing in a frame at a beauty spot (which seems to be a common feature in NZ) to take a photo. It makes a great image for my workshop sample...
The image below shows the fabric picture (top), the digitally simplified image (centre) and the drafted pattern (bottom). I still have a few touches to make (fences and foreground grass) before I quilt it but I'm happy with the result...
