113: ‘No Maths’ Sampler Quilt Course
Make a sampler quilt using simple and clever techniques, without having to do any maths! Learn how to cut and prepare fabric for quick and easy machine piecing and applique, have a go at straight stitch machine quilting and use a simple binding to complete the project. This course with Philippa Thomas is suitable for those new to patchwork and quilting as well as intermediate quilters, but students need to be confident using a sewing machine.
Beginners, Intermediate (18+ years)

13 - 17 Jan; 9.30am - 12.30pm
132: ‘Set the Scene’ – a Picture Quilt Course
Learn how to transform a photograph into a picture quilt. You don’t need any special computer programmes to do this course. Before class you will receive simple instructions on how to digitally prepare a photo so that everyone will have a suitable image ready on the day. Philippa Thomas will then show how to select fabrics and colours and construct the quilt using raw edge machine applique.
Intermediate, Advanced (18+ years)
